thanks for the live feed, because that was boring as hell. tail whip, crash. flip tail whip, crash. double tail whip crash. back flip, bigger back flip, more crashes/popped tubes and a pathetic victory cruise.

Has Crankworx played itself to sleep?

Read what you just posted. That * got me stoked as *!

A 60 footer was backflipped! Multiple times!!!!!!!!!!!

A double tailwhip 360 was attemped and nose cased! Multiple front flips! Crazy, life risking tricks linked together!

Someone who is relatively unknown kicked *** FTW!

What more could you want!?

CRANKWORX! **** YEAAAAH!!!

Anyone think the winds affected the over rotations and landings ?
Amazing, nonetheless!

Zedbra I'd say you accidentally tuned into something else. The wind definitely had a huge impact but even still people were throwing down INSANE stuff. Those 60 footer backflips were amazing to watch. Probably helped that I was on the hill watching in person. Amazing day.

I think people may be getting complacent with these insane tricks. Do riders now have to do double front flips off of the top of the cabin to amaze the crowd? (Fuck that Brad Ewen is annoying. Every run down was "NO!", "What?", "Shut the front door". Dude; quit announcing [HTML_REMOVED] find something you're good at, cause you suck at it!)

HaHa … you obvious missed a Belgian riding a hardtail who nailed a frontflip followed by a backflip-landing on the cabin roof. Genon had nothing else to prove … he won, big time. Why risk injuring himself for nothing? The others were so far behind him by the time the super-final rolled around, they had to do something - anything - to even look respectable. The desperation was palpable. Hence the crashes and heavy landings.

let's put it this way - what they (all) do on mountain bikes for 'slopestyle' is like listening to the same band for 40 years and then marketing it as something new cuz their guitars are now different.

IMO - back flips, front flips, and tail whips are really boring one after the other after the other. That's why I mountain bike - different trails.

Really going to have to disagree. The sport progresses even if you don't see it and these guys are doing rad styled out tricks year after year. What's not to like?

Oh yeah, primary recap HERE. Spoiler: Semenuk didn't win.

i thought it was fucking rad. i'm sure that kid was so shocked to win something like this that he didnt even know what to do with himself… maybe some tables or whips would have been better for his last run, but whatever.
