I asked one of mine…he said he preferred dealing with RF direct.

Two shops I know say the same thing. If they would love to deal with more companies directly.

I heard on the internet that RF designed custom diamond cranks for Gadaffi called Sicktators, and were directly funded by Beyonce's $12m performance blood money.

It's called the "race to the bottom".

It's why Rockys are now "Made in China".

Ouch. Threadjack: Yeah, the new Slayer and Elements sure do suck… (that was sarcasm).

Now back to RF: I'll keep a candle in the window. Hopefully the IP goes somewhere good.

I'm pretty sure Raceface won't die. The brand will be picked up by someone else, and I bet most of the components will stay the same… I wouldn't count them out just yet.

Classic internet bullshit rumour.

I think a larger company will buy the assets, restructure the company, bring it out of bankruptcy and move the manufacturing offshore. Then continue with the Brand. Won't be the same.

Now I understand why everyone was raving about the super sweet deals they got at the Race Face sale a few months back. My friends were going off about how they nabbed a mountain of sweet gear for next to nothing.
Guess there was a reason for that sweet deal.

Hopefully someone could help out..
BUT: RaceFace parts must be BC-Made otherwise it wont be RF any more for me…

@stinkbat: maybe straitline could fill the hole?!

$30k/month sounds like total bs

$30K/month doesn't sound like BS at all. Given the expecation that that figure is overstated somewhat that would be what… $300k a year for running a ~10+ mil/year operation? Seems pretty reasonable to me.

IF that's true, it's too much considering the company seems to have bitten the dust. If that person was any good, RF would still be around. That's one argument anyway.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.
