As someone whom has sent out MANY emails and made a ton of phone calls on behalf of the NSMBA to try and raise some funds this is much harder than it sounds. Yes some are able to donate a little product, but trying to get a pretty small sum of cash is almost impossible. Companies you think make their entire existence on North Shore trails give less than some local riders.
.
If you want someone to buy you need something to sell.
Start with a Vision - why should I support you? So you can have a kick ass trail network to ride, sell your bikes on and sell to people who will buy your bikes.
What's in it for me? - By supporting us you will have your name associated with this kick ass trail system that is visited by 500 riders PER DAY over the summer months and not much less then that on the winter months.
What if I do more for you? - have your name directly associated with this Kick ass trail system by having your name on posters at the trail heads so that people from out of town who are just learning about this area see your name associated with these kick ass trails.
Why should I - Joe Blow - Give you my $20.00. Because look at all the work we've done on these trails. We've put up Maps, we've built this bridge, we've built this structure, WE have given YOU this riding experience.
Go check out the website for pictures of all the work we have done on the trails YOU ride, see how we support individual builders on trails YOU ride.
That not enough for you? Give us X dollars, we'll give you a tshirt, Give us X dollars we'll give you a Jersey!
Bottom line - Its all about the trails.
