Aftermarket hoops are a hot commodity. Nerd out on lower rotational mass.

I'm wondering what happened to E-13's new wheel sets? The ones with the large flanged hubs.

Wow, a 26mm internal-width rim? Hear that, Mavic?

I really want those DT Swiss FX1950 tubeless, properly wide rims. Too bad the MSRP is around $1600… and yes, Mavic should get with the program. Almost all of there rims are way too skinny.

can't say those Conti tread patterns interest me much. Maybe I've spent too much time on Maxxis.

I've been running the Trail Kings, Mountain Kings, and X-Kings since November. First time running contis for a prolonged period. Very impressed with the tread patterns and both the Black Chili and regular compounds. Everyone has a difference preference in tires, but I can say at least that the Contis have no short comings when compared to its Maxxis counterpart.

We got samples of the 26x2.2 Trail King and 26x2.2 Mountain King, as well as the 29x2.2 Trail King, all in tubeless compatible reinforced "Protection" sidewall. I'm a pretty solid Minion supporter so we'll see where this leads… using the Mountain King as an example, the Protection sidewall weighs 230 grams less than the UST bead version.

I've been using 26x2.4 Trail Kings (Rubber Queen) for over a year and I've been very happy with them. Hook up beautifully over rocks, clear mud, deal pretty well with muddy roots and wear well. Not the fast rolling tyres I've ever used, but then I wouldn't expect them to be. Running one non-UST Rubber Queen and one UST Trail King tubeless.
