Darren Berrecloth sent us a cool story and a bunch of photos of his adventure in Kenya.
More from the Claw - his bike in Kenya, his truck and sled...
I liked the story and the idea of a race like that.
True Mountain biking.
Something tells me that the race was secondary to the actual experience of just being there.
Different element for all the riders.
That would be so cool!!!!!
That would be one awesome ride. Way to go Team Canada
What bike is claw on there? A pitch?
RIDE BIKES. DIG TRAILS. DRINK BEER. TALK CRAP
enduro is it not?

I have an email in to him about that but my guess would be Enduro. Tough to see though.
Great story Darren, thanks for sharing!
wow. Three days hike a bike for a 1.5-2 hour downhill. That's hardcore! And I though T-lake was a long ways up. What an amazing opportunity.
Wildhaber 1, Vouilloz 2, Barel 3
not far from my guess: Vouilloz 1, Wildhaber 2, Barel 3
So, how about the rankings for the uphill portion? Wasn't this an adventure race? Figure the time should start when the event starts.
Go Wade! Eye of the tiger…
It's an enduro. At first, I got all excited because I though it was the new DH bike. Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be not.
Not bad for wade, he's packing a bit of a gut these days! won't be long till the man breasts start developing!
3 days up for 2hours down? eek..

I think he's just hamming for the camera. He's one super-fit mofo these days. You should see him on the technical climbs. He makes it stuff up that I didn't think was possible.
