Wow that's some real snow. Nice work. We've only had any real snow up on the top of the mountains. I'm headed to Toronto for a couple weeks so I may see the white stuff in town there.

I don't want to come to Toronto. My mom is 95 so she's not traveling out west. Once she's no longer around I doubt I will find myself east of Alberta.

Sorry, Vik. Didn't know your mom was out here still.  Last two years must have been hard with limited travel. My parents are still in Van and back in early 2021 had rigged up the back of my truck better to truck camp and such. Had done it a few times at races prior.  Part of the reason with my brother in London England and something happened I would have to get to Van to deal with stuff and sure as fuck wasn't flying.  Drive and truck camp all the way there as was the best option .

I'm not a fan of flying at the best of times, but driving from Van Isle to TO and back for visits is just not realistic in terms of the time it takes. Once my mom is gone I won't be seeing the inside of an airport very often.

Is a long drive but expecting if have to do it it would be a month once there am ok with it. Would  to be honest give me control of a number of other things especially there.

Back on the saddle library noise, I scored a barely used SQ 611, my taint is liking it so far.

Plus bonus hot spring weather tease from the southern hemisphere.

Has anyone used SQ Labs push on grips?  If so how are they?

I'm currently on Chromag push ons after being on Renthal super tacky push ons for years.  The Chromags feel a bit big diameter cf the Renthals which are super thin.

Against all odds, this whole week has been rain overnight and sunny days.

I spent a whole November in NZ 4 years ago, was so nice to do Spring all over again! If it wasn't so far away I'd do it every year.

For all you alt bar riders - I've asked Ian at Chromag if they could make a 16 degree x 50mm rise bar.  I understand AM has already asked.  Hopefully something will come of this.

Black Friday Cart Stuffing

I’m making some questionable purchases in between being envious of those of you not-snow riding! I was hoping to get a quick survey of SS ratios before ordering a cog. I used to run a 175x32x18x29x2.3 on The Jabberwocky, but I have a bit more climbing to contend with now, as well as 29x2.6-2.8 tires.

Speaking of tires, has anyone tried the 2.6 Continental Kryptotal? Plan would be to use i35 rims, though I was eying the i40s on sale at Race Face. Other bargain tire advice would be considered as well.

I've run 175x32x20 on the Krampus 29x2.3 when i've run it singlespeed.  I can make it up a few punchy short climbs.

I run 33 and 30 x20t on 2.35s on my Karate Monkey with 175 & 170 cranks. Totally depends on your hills, but that works for Portland, Or area
