Indeed, a really nice review. I'm looking forward to the review of the new Transition Covert. :)

31.5 pounds with 3 rear rotor bolts I see.

If it's good enough for Peaty, it's good enough for me!

Great review. As another Titus rider, I can attest to the quality of their frames. I've had a MotoLite for the past few years, with this summer being the first season that I actually logged some serious time on it.

I'm not so much of a shore rider, but I've ridden Seymour, Burnaby and Squamish. The MotoLite ripped it up. While not as robust as the El Guapo, it shares the same characteristics described in Ed's review (climbing prowess, responsive suspension, durability/reliabilty, etc.) For me, it is the "one" bike.

Great review and pretty much echoes my sentiments for my 09 El Guapo… my build is similar except for a GD Turbo seatpost which I think is a must for this type of bike… really versatile design and a great looker..

P.S. I just rode the 7 Summits in Rossland in a tad over 3 hours on the El Guapo, which shows its versatility…

I built one a couple months ago. Just got back from 3 days of hard riding in Downieville. It performed outstandingly. I am super stoked on it and so happy I built it!

I'm new to this forums. I've been riding my 2011 El Guapo which I built up with a XT groupset, Mavic rims and I9 hubs and some select parts. I've been really happy with the bike so far. Apart from not having full-length cable housing (Singapore is rather wet so I'd really love to be able to keep my shifter cables dry) the bike doesn't have any shortcomings. I came from riding an old Specialized S-works bike so I'm familiar with Horst link bikes and how they perform. The El Guapo lives up to my expectations.
