Huh? oh my! I'm an oldgirl for sure….I was talking about the trip in 2007 (the one with D necking the wine) . I believe you were on the Dropin bus so NAH!
Thanks NEWGIRL (newgirl = S.F.T.?)! It was tons of fun. Johhny is so good at his job that I think riding road bikes through snow would even be fun with him.
Look for it in the "2009 Penticton [HTML_REMOVED] Wine Country Tourists Info Guide" (for serious here)!
I looked for it, but couldn't find the photo. :(
PS - thanks Smoke, for a unbelievable ride on Sunday! Both epic trails. I could stop riding now and still be happy after riding TKO.
It's a few pages in. I can't find my copy of the magazine here but I do have a photo of the cover and the page the shot is on……………………….
sweet! I didn't see that guide.
…when Smoke pulled the uncorked bottle out of his pack I thought I had died and gone to mtn biking heaven! The Bestest Tour Guide in all the land.

until I cracked my knuckle and tore my UCL…..surgery today…weeeee!
shitty! good luck with that!
this newgirl's a strong one - she refused to let me take her bike down, insisting on hike-a-biking it with a busted hand.
was there early fall and rode it with smoke. a really great ride, plan to come back next year. judy also promises not to break anything.
couple of pics,
these things are evil…
so much wine, so little time…
Where did you ride form in Oliver? Was it an out and back? A loop? Any details on that action?
That one is a shuttle, and it ends up down in Cawston. Check out the shop in town, as they have maps. http://www.doubleobikes.com/
There's another shuttle on the Oliver side, but it's kind of gnar. It's really steep with some loose rock action at the bottom. It's called TKO, and there's signs at the top making it easy to find.
There's also some trails above Hwy 3 (near the airport), but you'll need local knowledge to navigate in there, or you'll end up in the US.
Love the riding season here in the Okanagan. My first ride this year was on Jan 3rd, and my group rode every week up until a few weeks ago when it snowed on our parade!
I hope this winter is as accomodating as last.
