Nice!
Its Lee's commuter now. Its kinda basterdized now but…
The colour is Eggplant, kinda a metalic purplish. Pretty cool. with "girls kick ass" painted on the top tube!

1999 Brodie Kinetic
2000 Brodie Diablo
2001 Psycle Werks Wild Hare
2002 FOR 4
2003 .243
2004 Banshee Chaparral
2008 Brodie Damien - My bike now.
There were a couple BMXs thrown in there too.
Lovin all the Norco's that everyone at some point and time have owned and loved…….my list is coming soon.
I've got some really awesome deals on Norcos that made them too hard to pass up so my list is.
Some raleigh kids bike when I was young.
Cheap BMX I used to ride local trails on in England.
No-name MTB I got from Costco (which lasted me a long time).
1993 Norco Sasquatch, I swapped out nearly every part on it too.
1994 Triathlon road bike. I can't remember who made it now, it was stolen with the Sasquatch.
1995 Norco Rampage. This bike lasted me 6 years, it was awesome.
2000 Norco VPS3
2001 Norco Team DH
2003 Norco Team Shore
2004 Norco A-line (I never really ride this bike, it has odd geo, but it was a steal)
2006 Norco Six One. My current main bike, I love this thing, it got picked over a SC Nomad, SX Trail, ReignX, and I would make the same decision again without question.
2006 Spec P3 for the DJs.
I've had the privilege of owning tons of bikes over the years. Honestly, I think I enjoy speccing/building almost more than riding.
1995 - Norco Kokanee w/ cantis, rigid
1998 - same frame, decked her out in full Syncros parts when I was working for them, full XT kit and Magura hydros with $ from first job
2000 - Voodoo Shango rebuilt with the Norco parts, early Formula hydro discs, my first 'FR' bike; sold shortly after
2001 - Norco Drop; eventually upgraded to the tits incl Shore linkage then sold it
2001 - built up a DMR Trailstar with hookup through work; sold it about 3 months later.
2002 - built up an original .243
2002 - '01 RM6, proceeded to sell both .243 and RM6
2002 - '01 Norco Shore built mainly for Whistler use, too lazy to climb it
2003 - hooked up with Norco Fluid 3 through work, sold it fairly soon after to get a bigger bike
2003 - hooked up with Giant AC through work, sold it fairly soon after and got out of the scene because I was blowing my whole paycheque on bikes and parts
2005 - hooked up with Ironhorse Warrior DS Pro through work for occasional fun riding, ended up riding this a lot with minimal upgrades
2006 - sold the IH, got used Balfa 2-step frame and built her up. I longed for the Balfa when I was in high school. Hated the way the 2-step pedalled but endured it
2007 - got into XC bikes again, got a new old stock Giant NRS
2007 - sold the 2-step, got a Balfa Belair frameset; sold the Giant NRS frame
2008 - got slightly used Banshee Pyre frame, built up really nice. Sold complete bike later in the year when I discovered I really don't ride anything gnarly anymore
2008 - got Norco road bike!
2008 - got Giant Anthem complete, a few parts swaps, but the bike fits my needs perfect, and I love it!
2009 - sold Norco road bike, Giant Anthem; built up the Dekerf! Going to keep an eye open for a cheap Anthem X or maybe even a Trance X
After this most of the bikes were/are testers and loaners.
That's code for "I haven't paid a red cent for a bike since 2002."
I loved Jerry's article, and look at the cool thread it started.
1986 - CCM 6 speed POS "All Terrain Bike" (but I rocked that thing in high gear everywhere I went)
1988 - Nishiki Barbarian (one piece bar/stem)
1990 - Kona Fire Mountain with upgrade to DX shifter/lever combo. The first bike I started swapping parts on. I had a Wolber AT-18 rear wheel, Onza bar ends, SPDs, and Panaracer Smoke tires.
Hiatus in university (Kingston in the winter is not great for MTB). In 1998 my Kona was stolen. This forced me to buy a new bike and get back into riding…
1998 - Rocky Mountain Hammer Race (special ed'n with RF Turbine cranks, yellow Ritchey clipless pedals, and a RISER bar)
1999 - Brodie Evolution. This is still one of my faves. The cable-actutated disc brakes sucked but once I got hydraulic Hayes on there, it was a beauty. 80mm Rock Shox Judy SL.
2000 - Santa Cruz Heckler. A bike I miss but made good money selling it so I could buy a
2000 - Santa Cruz Bullit. The first of two I owned. Went from a Marz Z1 to a Super T (the first piece of gear I reviewed for nsmb)
2001 - Santa Cruz Bullit #2 with a Boxxer.
2003 - Brodie Holeshot
2004 - Iron Horse 7 Point prototype (it still lives with my old roommate in Switzerland)
2004 - Ritchey steel road bike. I got it that year but it's a circa 1999 and was actually Henrik Djernis' old training bike when he rode for Team Ritchey/Yahoo!
2004 - Ritchey steel Break-Away. Full sized race bike that breaks down and can fit in a regulation sized suitcase.
2005 - Iron Horse MK III
2005 - Ritchey Titanium/Carbon Break Away. As above but way lighter and sexier.
2007 - Ibis Mojo. Still have this bike. It's gone from an XC setup when I lived in Switz to a setup I would now call "Shore-worthy" but still weighs under 29 lbs with a Fox 36 and 150mm front and back and 2.5 tires
2008 - Specialized Demo 7. Drool.
2009 - still speculating…
I love this thread! Good thing to see I'm not the only guy w/ a wierd adiction to pedal bikes! Every time my old man comes over he shakes his head at another bike growing in my garage. I remember in my late teens, back in the "training full time for triathlons" days, I'd pack two or three bikes into his truck for a 3 week stint at his place in Powell River: the road bike, the Tri (time trial) bike, and the MTB. He thought I was an idiot for owning three bikes worth a combined $6K, and no car or license for that matter.
I just love bikes. Nowadays when I phone my buddies and ask to ride bikes, and their answer is "What do you want to ride?", more often than not the answer is "I don't care."
I look back on my list and realize I missed a bunch in there, too. I still need:
~A fixi (preferably old w/ Campy components)
~A MTB tandem
~A beach cruiser (preferably old and rusted)
~A pennyfarthing (good shape, to hang in the office)
You have a live one here boys…give me a shout if you have any of the above.

Is that the new sexy Carbon version? Very nice and I'm jealous. Would love to own one of those… I loved my old Ibis and would really like to own one again.
Jon-boy.
1988 Schwinn Mirada - looking back, it was probably more of a 26" hybrid
1991 Trek 830 - rigid and neon yellow! Warranty claim on the paint and had it repainted dark purple by the factory. Wow, Trek rules.
1993 Spec S-Works Stumpy w/ XTR and a "Future Shock" aka Mag21. When that broke…
1997 Spec S-Works HT. sub-4# frame. Stiffer'n snot.
1999 Trek 8500 LT with a spiffy chainstay/Hayes caliper mount. Now a commuter rig.
2001 RM Reaper w/ Z1! WIcked ride. When that broke…
2001 RM Pipeline… When that broke….
2002? RM Slayer. First model year. It was sparkly-bass boat black and I fooled around with different rockers and an older FOX coil AND air damper for "more travel". (Dumb idea)
2001 or -2ish RM RM7. Yellow and black. Damper blew up first weekend, wheels were square the next, and the frame broke a few months after that…
2002 RM7. (Warranty) Blue and silver with black swingarm. Rode great but had to part with it. eBay'd to a kid in Germany.
2002 C'dale Gemini. I had this thing outfitted in various configs over the years. twin 24"s (remember those?) a Z1, then a Super T, and a Super T Pro. Raced it for a year and loved it.
2001 Trek OCLV STP 400 for Transrockies 2003. Crossmax and XTR. 24# and quite fast. Keith Bontrager heckled me for racing a too-small frame but I did my best on it, passing him on the last day.
2003 Banshee Scream. Horiz drops, 5th E rear. Still in my garage, now with a 66RC2X up front
2004 Trek Liquid 50. XTR and TALAS front a rear. Wacky bike that I once reviewed here. When that broke, and Trek sadly dragged their ass for SIX MONTHS to warranty it, I got a:
2005 Trek Liquid. Silver ano finish. 2nd gen frame - no carbon stays. TALAS RLC front, RP3 rear, all X9.
2006 C'dale RUSH Carbon for Transrockies '06. Sick ride. Full X-O, 25# and scary fast. Fork damper got sleepy at high speeds though.
2007 Trek Fuel EX8. TALAS RLC front, RP23 rear. Great all around rig. I keep forgetting it has only 4.7" rear but it has held up great.
RIde. Eat. Repeat.
I still ride a '96 Hummer, though its been updated with a disc tab and lots of newer quality parts, and i'll never willingly part with it. Rides like a cruise missile. Maybe i give it to my grandchildren someday. Not really the best for shore trails though, so i got a Bottlerocket as well.
1984? Norco mountaineer, heavily modified once i got into riding. AT4 bars!
1987 Kuwahara impulse, stolen
1989 Brodie catalyst. bought second hand from a cove mechanic. rode it obsessively, 12-15k kms
1997? Cove stiffee. one of the first out the door. 1st squishy fork
1996 Cove hummer, bought in 2000. will ride it till i die. my wheelchair.
2000 Marin team DH. huge travel, but horrible bike. bad judgement.
2001 Norco team DH. great bike!
2002 Banshee scream. thought i was upgrading from the norco. was wrong.
2006 Transition Bottlerocket. this and the hummer make a complete stable. why would i want anything else?
