Jerry, just wondering where in the pic of the first Casltegar trail is…the wheelie drop one. Is that up by where Beaver's Trail used to be?

where Twinkle Toes and Dirt Diggler meet up under the power lines.

keep the list of the bikes you owned coming…

I think my problems started once I was earning $'s…. but here we go;

1993 Specialized Hardrock
1996 Kona Lavadome (rode with rigid forks until 1997 when I got a Quadra 21)
1998 Ibis Alibi (my first custom build)
1998 Santa Cruz Chameleon (jump/DH hardtail)
2001 Cove Stiffee (moved to Canada and needed a bike immediately and my first bike with disc brakes)
2003 SC Bullit (built mainly with parts from the Cove, first FS bike)
2005 Intense M1
2006 Ironhorse 7 Point (Realised that pedaling the M1 up Seymour was too painful)
2006 Black Market MOB (4x, jump, SS town bike)
2007 Canfield Lucky (Fun but too long/heavy, great Whistler bike)
2007 Chromag Stylus (Super fun HT)
2007 Ironhorse MkIII (Realised that a HT for XC in BC was hurting my body too much, so got this, great bike)
2008 Intense SlopeStyle (Super fun shore bike, nimble and playful, good at Whistler too)
2009 Trek Remedy 8

The Trek is now my only Mountain bike… :( Having said that it's a good one to have and will still satisfy my needs. :)

Jon-boy.

That 02 Norco Fluid was my first real mtb - was awesome for learning and early progression - it ended up with 4 cracks in the frame and was warranty replaced with an 04 bullit, which I still have.

I don't have a long list of bikes….infact I really only started riding two years ago but I want to play to so….

80ish, my first bike was a child's cheap bmx with training wheels. The kranks never stopped turning so when I went down a hill I would have to lift my legs up after a while as I couldn't keep peddling as fast as the cranks turned.

82ish, I had a hand me down bike that was orange with a banana seat on it. The kids made fun of me so I hated it and decided I would not become a professional biker. :crybaby:

84ish, mom bought me my first bmx from The Bay and it had yellow wheels with pedal/foot brakes. So I power slid everywhere I went and now those kids that made fun of me were now lining up to try out my bike! :fu: That got stolen years later when I was into girls and let the bike collect dust :flame:

90 I bought my friend's Trek 1700 (road bike). Had the whole spandex thing going. Then I almost got in a bad accident and that was the end of my road bike career.

92ish my cousin in law lent me his GT mountain bike after he got his Proflex and I had that thing for about a year. Rode that bike almost every weekend at Central Park in Burnaby and thought I was badass. Then on a trip to Whistler (pre bike park days) I realized I sucked big time and no fancy spandex could make me a better rider. Then my cousin in law needed his bike back and that ended.

2003 I was riding my friend's bike (RM Hammer) and wanted to try out this thing called freeriding. But the guy at the bike store convinced me to get a xc hardtail so my wife bought a RM Trailhead for me as an engagement present.

2006 I wanted a big bike and bought a used 2001 G-Spot and am sporting that baby nowadays.

2010ish I would like a Specialized Demo 7? Not sure yet but I will have to consult the guys on NSMB first.

Shame? No way, I loved that frame. I'm only about 150lbs, and didn't ride it too hard, so it was an excellent XC frame for me.

That 02 Norco Fluid was my first real mtb - was awesome for learning and early progression

Up until last year, that 02 Fluid was my bike for a great 5 years. If only I had a dollar for everytime I was stopped by people (mostly guys) to say how they wished they had never sold their '02 Fluid
Had it not been involved in a bike rack mishap :crybaby: I would probably still be happily riding it now.

Aside from my 80's bike with the banana seat that I learned on when I was a kid, my list goes like this:

1994 Norco Vector - the first bike that I bought [HTML_REMOVED] paid for myself :)
2000 Norco XCS1 - my first full suspension bike
2002 Norco Fluid - I had this bike from Feb 03 to Mar 08
2008 Giant Reign X1 - my current full suspension bike
2005 Ironhorse Yakuza Hardtail - to keep me honest

2006 Specialized P2 Chromo - dirt jumping bike shared with biggles604
2005 Norco A-Line - also shared with biggles604
(it's handy that we are pretty much the same size for bikes :D)

I think it's called work for a reason. Or else they probably would have called it fun-time at the fun factory.
