Besides opening beer bottles what are the little tabs on the back of the saddle even there for?
For your manpurse.

^^ Hanging a seat bag of course.
Brooks saddles are rad, no doubt, great article btw!! :)
been seriously considering one for my commuting bike
you know the "commuting bike", where its a short (20-30 minute) ride and you don't wear fancy cycle clothing just your regular underwear and unpadded shorts, but you'd appreciate a properly fitted (i.e. moulded) saddle made from breathable leather
just like a Brooks
when you look at Brooks history and their manufacturing / quality its really something in this era of disposable products
easily one of the best brands coming outside of the UK alongside Hope
and Brompton
makes me proud to be British, just like my love for Canadian produced brands like Devinci!
I've never smelled my saddle:???:Awesome review though.
This review was pretty funny but then I kind of became a little worried about how much you love this seat.
Im a little lost how a seat like this could be so amazing lol.
I think theres more to the story about that second seat ;)

A quick little follow-up. I got fed up with the tabs and dremmeled them off last week. Then I finished it with some Sugru. Photos here, if you're interested. It's much better now.
Nice work! I was looking at those tabs and worried about what they could do to your inner thighs. Looks clean now that they are gone.

It's as if Jeremy Clarkson took up mountain biking, and wrote a review of a saddle. Very entertaining

Pete…those were from 2004? Gawd. Thanks for pointing out that I'm old and that I've wasted most of my life.
I really enjoyed reading this article. Funny, sarcastic and informative all at the same time! More please.

This rocks.
More of this please.
Back in the days of shitty thin chamois' these type of saddles were the bomb. Probably great for those won't wear proper cycling shorts under their baggy shorts. Not the best choice for wet weather especially if you wear proper cycling shorts.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.
I have a love and hate about brooks saddles,
I have one that i currently dont use. its crazy comfy on a commuter bike where your sitting position is always the same…on my Mountain bike, i find I move around too much and end up to many times sittings on the rivets(unconfortable) . Brooks are good saddles but they only work in one sitting position.
music is thinking noise

+1
