Dave Tolnai is experimenting with the tried and tested, the leather and copper, the heaviest saddle you can buy… on his hardtail.
I Put a Brooks Saddle on My Mountain Bike
Who is this guy?! Somebody buy him a beer for the best review ever.
My wife was like "what the hell is so funny on the computer?".
I vote him and Timmigrant review everything, always.

This review is awesome.
one day , i too will own a brooks saddle .
i figure i have about 35 years of riding left in me . if i get one next year , i'm hoping i'll have it broken in by the time they put me in a box .
maybe i'll keep the brooks box for the ashes
Very likely the best review I've read. Does this Dave guy post on the board because hes one funny guy?

I didn't say "you can't get it wet." I said "you shouldn't get it wet." It's like a nice pair of leather shoes; It gets sort of fuzzy and weird if it gets wet. It seems like something you shouldn't do to it very often.
Owning a Lumberjack (recently recovered by the man himself after been stolen ~3years ago) I can vouch for him as an all around good guy. Loved the review, good work.
Think I'll stick with my Flites thanks
The raw, primitive, unrefined trails that see little to no maintenance are the kinds of trails that really build skill. What kind of skills do you learn riding a trail that was made by a machine, groomed to perfection and void of any rocks, roots or other obstacles that could send you careening over the handlebars?
Just wondering cuz sometimes its raining out when i go riding…
Besides opening beer bottles what are the little tabs on the back of the saddle even there for?
