Cam, i can guarantee there is no development on the trail which I rode, which our tour guide referred to as Sterling. It included some old growth at the beginning which gave me a real appreciation for what the Shore would be like if it wasn't all second growth. 'nuff said.

I guess you haven't been there lately. Sadly development has moved forward and will continue to do so, and your guide was actually misinformed about trail names.

that was really cool to see him talking about the stuff at the actual locations, it really added to the stories. and a few of these photos were what inspired me to start shooting film, I can't thank you enough as shooting film is the bees knees.

H.O., you're thinking of the trail called Barham, and yes it's got new roads cut through it over the winter.

Where are the 5th and 6th photos taken?

6th pic was on GMG. Long gone I believe.

As filming has resumed for Hey Neighbour, we decided to start by reposting this one, which really deserved to be seen when it was wet and dark outside…

Cam, the trail that some people (XC crowd) call Sterlings Trail and is on the far west side of Cypress has no development on it.

I can clearly remember being at safeway with my mom way back then and the covers of bike magazine catching my eye. Those pictures were my first introduction to "the shore". From that day forth I became heavliy involved in biking and searching for trails in north van. thank you sterling
