they sure look better and attractive, My first ever mountain bike I got was gt timerbline. I remember it had RS judy. was a good bike for me
I was impressed with how smooth and forgiving the ride was. The carbon frame does a wonderful job of damping out the trail vibrations

i think there's something to it. i've also had a steel dh bike, and oddly enough, there is a perceptible difference between those [HTML_REMOVED] aluminum in regards to the frames resonance, or lack thereof. the acoustics might play a psychological effect as well. it's subtle, but there.

GT bikes are looking great for this year! Really got competitive with pricing and spec so should be an interesting year for them!
The suspension platform is actually called "Independent Drivetrain" now and is not the same deal as "I-Drive". Same idea but the design is much more durable and service friendly.

They review the Sanction (I think) in the January issue of Decline - it's a sick looking ride. It would probably be an excellent AM bike for the Pacific Northwest. Overbuilt for a lot of other areas, but about right for this part of the world.
