Wondering what we're on?

Gear Shots 45 - Mongoose Pinn'r, Sugoi Hans Shorts and Transition Wheels
I hear the comment about having to hitch up the shorts every now and then. There is an easy solution that none of the manufacturers seem to do. Built in suspenders. Make them easily removable for those that don't want them. Put in buttons or a plastic loops and make them optional. And no, clip on suspenders don't work that well. Often one or more clips come off under a little stress. As far as I am concerned that's a huge failing of all baggy shorts. If they constantly fall down, they don't work for riding.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.
Great review, but I a bit puzzled by the timing. Lotsa gear shots and review coming out nsmb now…..but who's buying?! C'mon guys, summer is the buying season - ask any shop. If I like any of this product and head down to lbs, they either don't have my size or flat out don't have it…but the real point is that most aren't thinking about new kit right now.

Hey TD,
We operate a little differently than the print mags for a few reasons. One thing is that our traffic is actually busiest in the off season. In July and August most of you are out riding and vacationing an fewer of you are staring at a monitor all day. Print mags in contrast sell more copies in the summer.
Another issue is that we are pretty busy chasing stories and press launches from about March until at least the end of September. I have a hard enough time keeping my family together in that time let alone staying on top of all of our gear articles. Those months basically end up being about putting up a story about the last launch or the last event we attended - with a little riding thrown in.
It would be great if we could have a more predictable editorial schedule - and I agree with you it's something to work toward - but I'm afraid we aren't there yet.
That said we do have some winter stuff starting to come in and we'll try and get you info about it as soon as possible. Until that time please feel free to keep the feedback coming. It's one of the real advantages we have being online and it's great to hear from you. Feel free to contact me directly as well - you are pretty clearly on top of things and have clear ideas about how this all should work.
Thanks,
Cam
Bummer for you guys
