props to darren for putting down a pretty smooth run just 10 weeks after breaking his back.

I just posted some pretty solid videos here…

On top of that Matt Dennison is working on his view of the event.

I can't believe it's $25,000.00 to win Slopestyle and $2500 to win the Canadian Open

To be fair those kids are risking their necks (literally) way more than the racers.

Semenuk's winning run flip-whip was landed the smoothest of anything off that jump.

Anthony killed it. He's progressed so much in 5 years, since he was on an 18" BMX bike shredding the skate parks in Surrey.

All u have to do is look at the crowd difference for each event, slope style brings out everyone, even those who don't ride, young and old!

Anyone who gets into racing for money would never do well anyways, it is about the passion, fun and working hard at something u love, the money comes if u do well, find a niche that grows the market and there are many opportunities out there, but u gotta make them, like any good job, opportunities don't fall from tje sky, they are created by hard work.

This is true and semenuks
Runs were wicked. But the crowd voted that afternoon by the whoo hoos and wow effect and it was all for what anthony was doing. Gully went the highest andd then Anthony came down after him on the first run and went 3 feet higher, I get that he crashed out twice but his first run was so dame sic!! All the best to his future in the sport! Whistler is now back to officially being dead and empty!

Fuck thaaaaat. His stylecat victory lap was more enjoyable to watch than most people's actual runs.

Totally. And these guys put it all on the line every time they do a run - I wouldn't expect or even want them to take big chances once the win is in the bag.

Brandons run was smooth, technical, and he tricked every jump and it had amplitude, Zinks run was technical and had some ballsy moves that upped his score a tad from Anthony's whose run was banger but he bobbled some landings and did not trick every jump. Tricking every feature is the key to getting the most points for your run and if you dead sailor anything you are losing points, that's what makes the difference in Slopestyle, trick everything, make it look easy and go big….

I agree.

Watch them back to back and tell me that Anthony's run was better:

just like some sports are based on the calls on the field not video, I am going on what I saw from a pretty wicked vip view and what the crowd saw and reacted too, again props to all the amazing riders and to brandon and zinc who I think charge hard, but Anthony brought the house to its feet!
