Talking to the athletes about the course the consensus seems to be that it's hardpacked and gnarly.

Pick your podium below. I need to think about mine some more.

Having ridden the track more than 4 years ago I have total respect for those who race down it. Its pretty insane in places.

Hart for the win!

Those are some bold predictions.

World Champ's is only a three person podium correct?

Gwin
Hart
Minnaar

Lots of riders are due and hungry though. Atherton, Hill, Blenky and Fairclough fit that category and Brosnan seems to be improving at a rapid rate. Aside from top spot - which appears to be a lock bearing unforeseen circumstances - it's a bit of a crapshoot.

Here's a helmet cam of the course. Ride it here.

Thats a good poaching vid. Looks way different on the vid compared to the pixs on pink bike.

I am hoping one of the kids win it and always going for Shefield steel.

Is this televised , I heard CBC used to cover it. Or is there a website where I can watch it afterwards without already knowing the results?

We just had a Canadian woman win the World Championships in XC and not even a mention?

I'm stoked for CP, but I don't know her and Claire is a friend….don't be so sour and make issues where there are none.

I know that PB and nsmb are both more "gravity" oriented but there's enough cross over nowadays to make a World Championship newsworthy.

Awesome for Claire, but Catherine's win is of way more importance.
