Regardless of the cheerleading bros, this is an opportunity for the local mountain bike community to show Alex what we think about his extra curricular activities. I'll be writing to his sponsors to tell them I would think twice about buying their products unless he is sanctioned.

I thought you should know that one of your sponsored mountain bikers
has been caught being a part of the Vancouver riot that just happened
a few days ago. Alex Prochazka has apparently been trying to deny he
had any part in rolling and burning a car on the street, yet he is
covered in soot, oil, and is smiling ear to ear. I bet Oakley is so
proud he had on one of their shirts.

No apology will ever give Alex credibility here in BC and he is
certainly a poor choice of product representation. I was born and
raised in the Vancouver area, I am a former racer and mountain biker
since 1992, it is 'groms' like this that make me ashamed to tell
people the sport I love is now in the hands of back-flipping and car
flipping 'groms' with sponsors. Please consider not continuing to
publicly support hoodlums like Alex. Vancouver is ashamed of his and
all of the other rioters' actions.

I've just emailed all the sponsors on this list. If you care about Vancouver and you want to make it clear in the minds of hooligans such as Alex Prochazka that there are consequences to be paid for inflicting such violence on our city, I encourage you to email these companies as well.
Good stuff here… I agree that his apology is pretty weak given the nature of the picture… hopefully the sponsors are already on top of this. If they aren't then they are poor corporate citizens.
I imagine he'll just get the usual slap on the wrist as far as any criminal justice goes, but if he's found to be complicit in any way for damaging that vehicle,well ICBC should be making his life hell for a while. I'll be damned if my insurance rates increase due to the actions of each and every one of these thoughtless twats who damaged vehicles. And until he [HTML_REMOVED] the others pay up, they should revoke the insurance on their vehicles. And when they do, that would be a good time to pay them a visit, find the vehicle with no insurance [HTML_REMOVED] trash it. Don't forget to have a couple of beers first though.
