I was told some German guy who has designed a few other bikes designed the bike.

Stefan Stark.

they seem to be primarily bike frame subcontractors (though they've got their own line of bmx frames). interesting their list of clients includes rocky [HTML_REMOVED] norco; proto work, perhaps?

Pretty sure Rocky does all their prototypes in-house.

It appears the Hustler is a Caribou-Bikes Ibex frame that has been modified.

It is a nice looking bike though. Looking forward to the review.

Well, at least it will be confident to all kinds of testings.

It's name isn't really the 650bj guys. That's a slightly torn and bent C sticker stuck on the stay to be funny. I like to reinvent Bike co stikers so they say Cookie and them stick 'em on my bike but that doesn't make it a signature model.

why so serious? its a decal, possibly the least interesting or important part of the bike. don't like it, peel it off

But that would make him a PEELER.

So I see from comments section they're fab'd in Asia not Slurrey as someone speculated.

RE: Cove Bike Names

Take a cove G-Spot or STD out for a few rides. 3 or 4 rides later, you won't care about the name.

Their bike names have never been a selling point for me though. Their floating pivot bikes are just awesome/fun/tough.

RE: Manufacturing

First ever Cove Frame put together oversees. Notice the 4k price tag.

RE: Ride Impressions

I rode one of the earlier demo bikes. A few weeks later I tried a SC Bronson. I remember liking the Hustler more. But that could be due me not being used to the ride characteristics of a Carbon Frame , also the Hustler had a 67.5 HA when I rode it which I thought was much better suited for the shore.

Minions are now available in 27.5 so maybe a redo of both demos is in order.

I mainly ride a cove G-Spot. Its a super fun little bike. If cove ever made a 27.5 carbon version of that bike, I wouldn't need to visit the Intense/Santa Cruz/Pivot websites anymore.

I ride a Cove Stiffee XC, its a light hardtail frame which is actually really, really stiff - power transfer from the pedals is great (little energy lost to flex) so you can go uphill and up things like a demon.

Why 67.5??? Covert feels good at 66, Reign feels great at 65.

65 is too slack for anything but downhill, that would be more for the G spot. The Hustler is more of a trail bike that actually likes to go up hill. Riding steep ups with a bike at 65 deg sucks.

haha, welcome to not their target market..

do you really think Cove cares if your personaly offended or not ?

theres a billion bikes with a billion stupid names.

what one person thinks is a good idea, the next thinks is dumb.

personaly i think the 650BJ is a terrific name and right in keeping with Cove tradition..

Completely agree with you IFO. Who really cares what they call the bike (I think its hilarious) Cove bikes are some of the best riding bikes around IMO. I would ride a bike called the fudgepacker if it rode well. (insert a "that's what she said" here)
