The 2013 Santa Cruz V10 is all carbon, and a new rear end isn't the only update.

Santa Cruz has put together a mighty nice looking machine. I can't wait to see all the sick builds it will inspire.

Around 8 lbs for a medium with coil shock? Under 7 with air? That's lighter than my trail bike. So average builds will be coming in at 35 lbs or less… awesome. And the details like the integrated swingarm protectors are just the ticket to make me salivate.

$3,699 CAD for frame + ~1400 for fork + ~ 1000 for a saint or XO build kit + 2900 for Enve wheels + 400 for bar/stem/finishing bits = 9,399 + HST - I think that you can buy last year's Hyundai Accent for that much on their end of season promo.

I wonder if it rides as good as it looks because it sure looks pretty.

True, though it's much faster than a Hyundai. A more accurate comparison is $10K for this or $250K for a Ferrari.

I don't think I could go fast enough to even get in the low end of this bike's speed range.

Does it have aluminum sleeves in head tube and bb like the demo? My buddy ovalized his carbon v-10 and he was not an aggressive rider. Also i would not put a carbon frame on a tailgate pad .
other brands that compare are Evil undead, devinci wilson .So when is intense gonna make a carbon m9 ?
they are strong but the concept is still new can you afford frame replacement after a hit with a rock ?

Ive had a V10c for 2 years, not one issue, no marks from shuttle truck pads, no chips in the carbon. I'm not the fastest guy but put the bike through its paces. I just put a deposit down on a new one and will not have any regrets. Anyone for a used 2011 V10c?

I think you heard me just fine, punchy

Having had the opportunity to ride the old full aluminum V10, and remembering how scary fast THAT was, I shudder to think of how quick the carbon version is.

That being said, I love the more subtle paint job Santa Cruz has used for the frames, and I really want to have a go on one too.

undead comes with downtube protector; about 3 or 4 inches long from end of headtube to protect the frame from tailgate pad.

buy Wilson and be covered for life =D
