Rocky Mountain has made the Altitude Trail platform bigger in a number of ways, and it's got a cool new travel adjust feature, Ride 9.
2013 Rocky Mountain Altitude 650B
Are the bikes made in Canada or Taiwan?
I guess NSMB's product launch test-ride trumps the experience of everyday joe riders who have been on Fox 34's since spring. Hope you like creaky crowns!
Great job, Morgan - that media ride looks like it was a blast.
@PROEDGE: Rocky's carbon and alloy bikes are made in Taiwan - that has been the case for a while now. Manufacturing in Canada (or the US) is not economically feasible for most companies anymore, other than small custom producers that can charge a not insignificant premium. You won't find anyone making carbon bikes in north america.
@FM: It's probably fair to say that a co. with Fox's track record is capable of sorting out a creaky crown issue, wouldn't you agree?
Mine (float 34 29", got in May) certainly has developed a creak. We could trade? Otherwise I look forward to warrantying it during the winter months.
I can't even focus on the bike, let alone the wheel size. That beard is epic!
That Ride 9 idea is pretty interesting but I'd be curious to know how much of a difference it really makes.
Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.

One would think but their 32 line has had creaking issues for a while. Not like other manufacturers don't have this issue too though.
Other than that goofy 74 seat angle the bike looks good. That steep a seat angle won't work well for me. I have long femurs.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

The 36 platform has creaking issues too. I've never heard of a Fox failing because of the creak, but I like a quiet bike, and the creaking drove me insane.

I think that I am light enough at 140 plus gear that my 36 won't likely creak. My 32 26" forks have never creaked, but my Reba did. Twice. My 32 29er forks have both creaked at 120mm setting. Yeah annoying as hell. Was thinking of dripping some of that super thin wicking locktite in there to see if it might do anything. Can't hurt.

rocky just earned my business… the 750 aluminium, XT/SLX, 142mm axle, ISCG tabs, good price…. Giant came close, but didn't quite get it all
Any info on pricing?

At 160, I made my 36 creak. I pushed it hard, but nothing out of it's design intent.
