#!markdown not sure how you read that into pete's comment… there was an audit of translink done in 2012. by MoF, not exactly 3rd party, but if you think the provincial government is friendly to translink, you haven't been paying attention the audit identified an optimistic $41 million in potential "efficiencies", which suggests that TL, with a budget approaching $1.5 billion, is being run pretty efficiently, given its size and scope
