I'm sorry, I'm not seeing what's so great about the crankbros dropper - I
don't doubt it's reliable, but that because, AFAICT, it's just a fancy looking
copy of the Giant Contact Switch dropper.
Giant came out with the hydraulic cartridge dropper, what, 3 years ago? it's
proved to be far and away, the simplest and most reliable dropper on the
market, so it's no surprise most of the new droppers introduced in 2016 copy
that design (including Shimano). I wouldn't be surprised if giant was the
manufacturer of several of these new droppers, as their factory makes frames
for lots of other brands as well as their own.
