I recently put these on my Rise after having and loving the LHT's on my Stumpy Evo. Both brakes are amazing. Both are very powerful, but my LHT's have a firmer bite. I still need to fiddle with the leverage adjustment, which might get me a more similar feel between them. I've also lost track of which pads I'm using on which brakes, so that could be making a difference. I'm coming from Dominions on my last bike, and the only thing I miss is the super light lever feel. It's still pretty light on the Lewis brakes, though.  Dale Stone has a deep dive youtube vid on their history. My take-away is that if they hadn't stole the look from TS, there wouldn't be that much controversy. Also, their first brake was a blatant TS ripoff, although it never went to market, I think? They have some unique features that took some real R&D, like the leverage adjust. Also, being able to cut the hose and reuse the barb without a re-bleed is amazing. I wish every brake had this feature.  It's definitely a bummer that they look so much like TS, but they've performed amazingly so far for me. If you're wary of them because of the IP stuff, watch that Dale Stone video and decide for yourself. It also seems like Lewis is getting the message and maybe the (probably worthless) cooling fins on these are an effort to differentiate them from TS aesthetically.  Oh, and the pin-clip things suck, but I put some blue loctite on the threads of the pins and so far they haven't budged. Maybe a risky move, but better than dealing with the clips for me. And check out bee_kay77 on instagram for some good tips on bleeding, etc.
