The same thing happened to our company here in BC. There was a huge disconnect between the head office and the production plant. We went through CCAA at the beginning of this year and were eventually bought out. The number of employees was reduced by half. The company is now restarting, and there’s a sense of hope on the horizon. I hope they manage to recover, but letting go of designers, sales, and support staff seems like a strange move. In our case, it was mainly the upper "office" personnel who were trimmed, while most of the production team remained. I’m not sure how they plan to continue business without the people responsible for creating and supporting their products.
