Hey Cam, thanks for writing this followup article. It's clear that your heart
has been in the right place throughout this, and I wanted to thank you for
trying your best to keep us informed about important things that are happening
in our community.
You mentioned at the top of the other article that you don't have a journalism
background, and that you're figuring out how to best handle these issues on
the fly. I certainly sympathize, and I think that's an unenviable position to
be in!
I've been reading this book recently, and I thought you might find it

online writers can make mistakes in the face of breaking stories and a hungry
readership are valuable for anyone -- both for people who are in the media,
and for those who consume it.
In particular, I think you may find the section on "iterative journalism" to
be interesting.
