Nice to see this here, makes for a nice contrast with the usual focus on gear, cleaning trail features, etc. I stumbled upon meditation and cultivating presence and awareness as unexpected side-benefits of starting yoga to help recover from an injury 10 years ago. Applying these to my riding has definitely improved the experience. I see flow more in terms of happiness than in terms of a perfect ride. In fact, I've found it easier to be content with not-so-smooth rides precisely because of this approach of being present in the moment and not striving for any kind of goal.
