I can relate. I had a fork recently which was losing +ve air, I think into the -ve chamber. Feet knocking into rocks, sluggish uphill, nervous downhill, rubbish in turns, all the stuff you wrote except for low handlebars instead of Slouchy McLayback. If you remember how unreliable all bike components used to be, it’s pretty amazing that this kinda failure is now noteworthy. And then you remember that many riders have never adjusted their suspension for their weight or only inflate their tires when they get a shop service.
