#!markdown I have an Orion (Neo-Shell). It's the same price as other super-high-end riding jackets, but I was drawn to it originally as it is Made In Vancouver (BC, Canada) and my preference (especially at the same price) is to support local manufacturing. In an absolute downpour it is not as waterproof as top-end offerings using Gore's materials, but as a really (really?) sweaty dude when I am hammering on the bike and, for an average wet-and-~-warm North Shore rainy day, I'm willing to take the minor reduction in waterproof-i-ness for the best-in-class breath ability. The flexibility/maneuverability is awesome as well (softshell-esque). Full disclosure: I have a more basic (~$200) Gore brand GoreTex jacket for really wet/COLD days that is more waterproof but over ~5/6-degrees it's raining inside. Anyone looking for Good waterproof qualities (not best in class) with best-in- class breath ability should definitely check out the Mission/Acre offerings.
