As for 650b bikes I think: 1\. some people really feel they offer distinct advantages (maybe they're racerheads and the time difference is worth it to them, maybe they're just naturally picky and small differences aren't really that small to them 2\. some people just bought whatever was new and the way industry went over to 650b it's pretty hard not to go to it. 3\. some people just want to future proof their purchase. 4\. some people just like latest and greatest
