I’m a fan of my fat bike and 29+ wheels on dirt, but Andrew illustrated my fears for tire extinction earlier in the week. Good 29x3 tires are scarce, and any with good casing/rubber compound options are scarcer. Same with 26” fat tires. 27.5+ and 27.5 full fat are the new direction, and not sure I agree. It would be nice to run one good middle size wheelset like 27.5x65 year round, but it seems like a compromise in all seasons.
Sorry for mixing inch and metric, 27.5 should be known as 650b.
