The start at the bottom for shift mapping makes sense. In road racing in cars you will normally find the most critical point and work your way from that point.
I think this stuff makes a ton of sense for e-bikes. I find the extra weight gathers speed faster so many times you end up in a spot where when you do pedal you are in the wrong gear. Having the computer over lords help with that would be nice.
