I'm curious, I've heard of special freewheels at the cranks (freecranks?). I believe Intend makes a set. Would Free Shift work with something like that, where the rear hub is fixed and the freewheeling action happens at the cranks?
I suppose you'd have to add a computer to the system somewhere to measure speed, cadence, etc. since there's no motor.
