If you already have I-Spec setup, Wolf Tooth does make excellent hinged clamp mounts to separate the shifter.
Not to be the a-hole just linking to his own stuff (but hey, own it right?) I did write about them in a piece with some **[cheeky undertones](https://nsmb.com/articles/four-clamps-good-two-clamps-better/)**.
I generally prefer separate mounts.
