The only immediate criticism/ observation is that choosing a 104 x 4 standard means the smallest chain ring is 30T.  Fine for a fit rider dealing with Whistler/ Pemberton/ Rockies/ Alpes & Madeira type climb grades but not really small enough for fat biking or bike packing. Exactly the type of bike that a shorter crank that encourages a higher cadence might benefit from. Perhaps a "spider"/ carrier that allowed the use of DM chain rings would open these cranks up and make them more versatile.
