Definitely... general rule of thumb, darker roasts lower temps. This is where Pete chimes in to say he's using really light roasts, in which case using water just off the boil is fine.  I have a [Fellow EKG](https://fellowproducts.com/collections/electric-kettles) \- but there's lots of good options. Although if you're already doing it for tea, you probably have a temperature controlled kettle.
