I’ve been running 2.6” rear / 2.8” front on the rigid with i40 rims and that’s worked well for me. I prefer 2.8” over 2.6” in front but I concur that rim size is key. You can get away with a 2.8” on an i35 rim but anything narrow and it’s better to drop to 2.6” rubber.
