Interesting comments on the steep braking performance of the bike. I'm in the interior where there's limited rock rolls on steeps, instead steep sections are usually just dusty fall lines and most catch "berms" are just sort of a pit partway down the trail.  I found the 50-poundishness of an E-bike significantly spookier for the first few times I rode one on that sort of thing. Probably doesn't help that I'm north of 200 pounds. I don't think a larger rotor would help either, I think there's just a "minimum speed" that physics allows me to go on that sort of trail. I also found that you can get away with significantly cheaper suspension on an ebike than a regular bike. The extra heft low to the ground makes entryish level suspension feel so good compared to how it would feel on a normal bike. On my normal bikes, I'm all about high end suspension at the top of the list, on the ebikes, it's not.
