What swells on the SRAM brakes is the plastic piston. It’s not a big deal to sort/have sorted.
That said, I don’t anticipate it ever being an issue with the Hayes. If you scroll up to the teardown photos you can see on the Dominion the piston assembly is anodized aluminum.
I’m still on the same brakes I reviewed. All I’ve done is bled them and replaced pads and they’re as new. Awesome stoppers.
