The Super Deluxe piggyback shock might actually have been chosen because they wanted more LSC adjustability. The best non-piggyback Deluxe (Ultimate, or previously RCT) only had a 3-position LSC and lock-out/platform switch, ala Fox's RP23, while the Super Deluxe Ultimate has 8 or 10 clicks for LSC, or something like that.
