Offensive title removed. To be clear, I find this kind of language offensive
as well - and I used it to illustrate one of the attitudes that persists in
our sport - and perhaps all sports. I would never use a word referring to
sexual orientation as a slur - and to be clear this was directed at me rather
than by me. Regardless I clearly caused offense and, while that was not my
intention, I apologize sincerely.
