I need some clarification on your post @Ryan. I read the opening paragraph as if you’re writing a rebuttal to what I’m saying, but then it sounds like we’re making the same point.
If you had 15K to spend on a bike would you buy off the rack of would every part be curated?
If you’re buying a boutique hub - a choice many riders make precisely because of how long they last - and it comes in 8x anodized colours then buying it in black or silver is a _choice_ but that’s my point - you’re spending enough on a rig it should uniquely suit your needs and tastes.
