Yes and no. Colours and patterns, even type style for model name  decals get stale. When I worked in the athletic shoe industry in the mid 80s, Nike claimed shoes had a shelf life of two to three months before they needed a colour change. What’s a really cool colour today looks bad (or so we’re told) in a year or two. That sand colour for example became popular in vehicles and bikes recently. But it will look dated soon. A lot of Tacomas are coming in basic non metallic paints these days. A while back it seemed that cars were mostly grey.  Personally I’ve always liked mat black bikes. I rarely like multi colour bikes. Splatter paint was the worst.
