Yeah I hear you. I'm a little embarrassed because of my poorly phrased reply above. I'm in no way qualified to call someone hardcore or not, regardless of their bike of choice. But I think it's true that _just because_ someone can spend $15k on a bike, does not necessarily mean they care about bikes and bike tech any more (or less) than someone on a much tighter budget.
