I believe the story with the bushings, and sized glide rings, is the effort that’s gone into sizing everything (tolerances). I know some frames are so bad they’re going to eat shocks regardless but it’s nice to see companies (DVO is on it too, CaneCreek has made changes to their seal head over the years) putting in an effort to protect their shocks from premature wear (or at least protect themselves from some of the ridiculous warranty claims) caused by design and alignment issues.
