Yeah, I hear you. The key here is managing expectations. There's a place for these heavy duty jackets, and if you see one in person before buying, you should be able to feel the heft of it (indication of all those magnets and zippers and features as well as the heavy and durable fabric) and know it won't be that breathable.
But it's also up to Leatt to make clear what the capabilities are for the jacket and I don't think that quoting the jacket's breathability at 23,000g/m2 does the consumer much good. I'm not disputing the claim re: the fabric but I don't think it's performing at that level. I have heard from a garment designer before that those numbers are about as useful as pixel counts on camera sensors.
Leatt makes great stuff. I think in this case it would help guide the consumer more if they were more explicit about the intentions for the 50 (and 4.0) jackets.
