If it was not for the hood they would be a near perfect jacket. I am on my second MT500 jacket. For me the hood is something to collect water. I forget how much water the hood holds & will often spill the contents on the floor, much to the dismay of my lady. If it was removable I would take it off & it would never be seen again.
