It's crazy how bikes like the Stooge (or Kona Unit) were such niche machines and now it's a year wait to get one. I know it's easy to just blame Covid but in this case, there's a lot more going on.  I was communicating with Andrew from Stooge after my 2021 Best Of - [**Rise Of Rigid**](https://nsmb.com/articles/best-2021-andrews-list/) went live and he mentioned in 2017 a run of 100 framesets took two years to sell and his last batch was gone in under an hour. That's incredible. \-\-\-\-\-\- As an aside, imagine if Surly actually used their booked factory time to make rigid frame-forks with aggressive mountain biking geometry?
