I have to admit I haven't rebuilt the new generation (as of 2021) of hubs and my understanding was that these beauties were still current. I guess, in fact, my opening paragraphs are that much more relevant now. From the current (2021) [**specification drawings**](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2920/2114/files/boost-cl-xd_exploded_r3_web.pdf?v=1631907535) the needle bearings are indeed gone. I updated the body of the article (with attribution to you for pointing it out - thank you). I can't imagine - based on my experiences with many other hubs - that the large driveshell bearings will last as long now as they have previously (i.e. forever). Maybe they still last long enough? Certainly, for me, it's another reason that I'd be keen to watch the used market for 6-bolts. Thanks!
