I use a Shimano Alfine chain tensioner on my fs single speed. It works fantastic, but the negatives are it weighs over 250 grams (more than the derailleur it replaced) and has a max sprocket size of 20t. I also like to run a second ring on the front (2x1) for a bailout option on long sustained climbs so definitely a positive to have extra range in the tensioner for that option.
